Fook Kee’s Fried Noodle is a hidden gem in Ipoh that only locals would know.
There are a couple of noodles available here eg: “Kap Dai Meen 炒及底”, “Jin Heong Mai 煎香米”, “Wat Dan Hor”, “Chao Dan Fun” etc. But the most famous ones are his “Kap Dai Meen” which has a mix of every ingredients at his stall.
The secret to his delicious noodles is the prawn stock. “30 kgs to boil 3 big pots of prawn stocks … finish everyday” – that’s what we were told. The prawn stock adds a rich and robust flavor to the fried noodle, and that keeps his loyal customers returning for years.
