Fried oyster (oh chien) is a must try street food in Melaka. Most of the stalls are only open at night and this uncle’s stall in Boon Leong food court is popular among locals.
The waiting time might be slightly long especially during the holidays but time passes quickly when you are watching how he cooks his fried oyster. He fries a few plate at one time to reduce the waiting time.
This is one of the oldest fried oyster stall in Melaka and it is now manned by the second generation of the family. It is located a few minutes walk from Jonker Street and is a good place to go for supper after shopping.
